Mulberry High School Football Players Remembered

The principal of Mulberry High School remembered two of his football players on Monday as passionate and energetic.

MULBERRY, FL — The principal of Mulberry High School remembered two of his football players on Monday as passionate and energetic, one day after the teenagers were taken in a horrific car crash.

Chad Hall wore number 28 and Kenny Haney wore number 33, but their lives added yp to so much more to the Mulberry community.

“We are devastated by the tragic deaths of Chad Hall and Kenny Haney," acknowledged Principal Michael Young. "Chad had boundless energy and a great sense of humor. He was always cracking jokes. He was a very loving and caring soul— a loyal friend, player and student."

Young recalled Haney's passion for life.

"Kenny was passionate about everything he did. He always gave 100 percent of himself to his sports and his friends," recalled the principal. "He was outgoing with blue eyes and a bright smile. He was proud to be a Panther.

On Monday, the school painted the numbers of the two teenagers on the football field.

The school community will gather at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for a remembrance. The event will be held on the Mulberry High School football field.

"We will continue to have counselors available for Mulberry High students and staff," the principal added.
