Polk State President Appointed To Juvenile Justice Advisory Group

POLK COUNTY, FL - Polk State President Dr. Angela Garcia Falconetti was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday, Sept. 16, to serve as member of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention State Advisory Group.
Garcia Falconetti will support Secretary Dr. Eric Hall of the Department of Juvenile Justice in the advancement of Florida's System alongside Advisory Group members.
"I am honored to serve the stateβs juvenile justice system as a member of the State Advisory Group and to support the stellar leadership of Secretary Dr. Eric Hall," Falconetti said. "I am dedicated to supporting the enhancement of workforce education and skill development, specifically as provided by Florida's 28 colleges, to open new chapters for our stateβs youth."

The Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Advisory Group is comprised of individuals appointed by the governor who have training, experience, or special knowledge of the juvenile justice system.
Their mission is to effectively administer and manage federally allocated funds for juvenile delinquency prevention, ensure compliance with Federal Juvenile Justice Act mandates, and to partner with the governor, the Legislature, the Department of Juvenile Justice, and community leaders from around the state to build a better and safer Florida for youth and their families.
