Publix, Winn-Dixie Thanksgiving 2016 Store Hours

Remembering to put every small item on a Thanksgiving dinner shopping list is never as simple as it sounds. Whether it’s brown sugar for the yams or rolls to sop up that turkey gravy, something always gets left off.

There’s no reason to sweat it!

The people at Tampa Bay area Winn-Dixie stores plan to open up their doors for limited hours on Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 24. Locations throughout the Tampa Bay area and in surrounding counties will open at their regular hours, according to Meredith Holland Hurley, spokeswoman for the grocery chain.

Hurley warns, however, that stores will close down early, at 4 p.m.

“We believe this gives our customers the convenience they want at the prices they need for last-minute shopping needs, but also allows our associates time to get home to have a holiday dinner with their families and friends,” Hurley said.

Meanwhile, shoppers loyal to Lakeland-based Publix will discover the grocery giant is planning to observe its longstanding tradition of closing for Thanksgiving. Stores in the Publix family, however, will reopen bright and early Friday morning, according to spokesman Brian West.
