Suspect Charged With Multiple Drug Possession, Warrant: Police

When Winter Haven police talked to a man riding his bike without lights Monday night, they found out he had a warrant and drugs on him.

WINTER HAVEN, FL — A 34-year-old suspect riding his bicycle Monday night in Winter Haven is accused by police of having drugs in his fanny pack.

No lights were seen by police on Larry Jermaine Evans' bike at 9:36 p.m., according to a news release. When the officers talked to Evans in the area of Avenue P NW, they found out he had a warrant out of Polk County for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was then arrested on warrant charges, detectives said.

As cops conducted a search on Evans, they found inside his fanny pack ecstasy and molly, heroin and 19 baggies of cannabis. The Winter Haven Police Department charged Evans with trafficking MDMA, possession of cannabis with the intent to sell, possession of heroin, possession of MDMA and possession of drug paraphernalia.

"Th proactive patrolling our officers conduct has again put a dangerous man in jail, and removed some dangerous drugs off the street," Public Safety Director Charlie Bird said.
