1 Dead In Near Head-On Crash In Pasco County
The crash occurred on Friday around 6:10 p.m. in Zephyrhills, state police said.
ZEPHYRHILLS, FL — One person is dead following a near head-on crash involving three cars in Pasco County.
The crash occurred on Friday around 6:10 p.m. on County Road 54 near the Lumberton Road intersection, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a release.
According to police, a Kia Soul traveling eastbound on CR-54 entered the westbound lane into the path of a Hyundai Sonata. The two cars collided nearly head-on, with debris from the impact striking a third vehicle that was traveling behind the Hyundai.

The driver of the Kia was taken to the hospital, where they later died from their injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai was also hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the third car suffered no injuries in the crash.
