Crossroads Walmart Expected to be Complete by Yearβs End
A Walmart Supercenter, at Roosevelt Boulevard, is expected to be open at the end of 2013, according to city officials.

The groundwork for development on one of the cityβs key commercial corridors, once known as the Four Corners, is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
Construction of the master infrastructure, including sanitary sewer and stormwater systems, internal roads and sidewalks, and landscaping for all of the Largo Crossroads Mall at U.S. 19 and Roosevelt Boulevard, was part of the discussions between Walmart and city officials April 25.

Plans for the site include a 120,851-square foot Walmart Supercenter, a 342-unit Gateway North Apartment Complex and a Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority Bus Transfer Station on the approximately 38-acre parcel.
The Walmart store will be built on a 13.66-acre property on the western side and is expected to be complete by the end of 2013, according to city officials.

The store is the first to be built under the cityβs 2005 large-scale retail ordinance that limits size and outlines other development rules for the site.
The store will have pedestrian connections to the sidewalk systems and developments and enhanced landscaping. The store will abut the proposed Gateway North apartments.
That complex is expected to start construction immediately following the completion of the Walmart and bus transfer station.
