DUI Patrol on U.S. 19 Friday Night in Largo

Troopers will be out in force to conduct an "intensified" DUI patrol along U.S. 19 from Pinellas Park all the way north to the Pasco County line starting Friday night.

The Florida Highway Patrol will utilize additional troopers to watch for impaired drivers between 8 p.m. Friday, June 28, until 3 a.m. Saturday morning, officials said.

The highway patrol "hopes to remove those drivers who are impaired by drugs and/or alcohol and thereby create a safer environment for all motorists," it said in a media release.
