Heritage Village Reopens, Kickball for Charity, Volunteer in Police
Heritage Park is reopened, a charity kickball tournament is set for Saturday, applications are now being accepted for the latest Volunteers in Policing Academy and find out what else is going on in Largo, Wednesday, Aug. 21.

Heritage Village Reopens
The pine tree project planned for Heritage Village is on hold because of weather, according to county officials. So, the 21-acre living history museum will reopen Wednesday, Aug. 21. Theproject is expected to start again in the spring.
Kickball for Charity
The Largo Firefighters charity kickball tournament is at 9 a.m. Saturday at Whitesell Softball Complex, 12555 119th St N.  Proceeds benefit Curtis McClendon and Bob DiMarco, two firefighters battling cancer.
(Volunteer in) Police Academy
Want to be part of the next class of Largo Police Volunteers In Policing Academy?
Applications are being accepted to be part of Volunteer Academy #19, which starts Sept. 17.
Currently there are 50 volunteers officers.
Volunteers help with administrative paperwork, write parking enforcement citations and directing traffic at crash scenes.
