
A county licensing board has placed Largo KinderCare Learning Center on six months' probation, after staff went home for the night, leaving an 11-month-old child alone in the facility.
The daycare, located at 3270 East Bay Drive, will have to undergo monthly inspections to keep its license during the probationary period, according to the Tampa Bay Times.Â
At issue was an incident where employees went home for the night, leaving a young boy sleeping in a crib. The staff members thought that all the children in their care had gone home.

No criminal charges were filed in the case, but the employees involved were fired from their jobs.
