Pinellas County Seeks Input on Kennel Ordinance
The changes would improve animal welfare and provide more consumer protection.

LARGO, FL – Pinellas County is looking for community input to help improve the lives of the area’s four-legged residents.
Pinellas County Animal Services will host a community workshop on Wednesday, Dec. 7 to discuss possible changes to the pet dealership and kennel ordinance. The changes would help Animal Services improve animal welfare and provide more consumer protection for pet purchases.

Residents are encouraged to attend the event to learn more about the newly-proposed ordinance changes. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the Magnolia Room of the Florida Botanical Gardens, 12520 Ulmerton Road in Largo.
Residents who are unable to attend can send feedback on the newly-proposed changes to animals@pinellascounty.org.

Pinellas County Animal Services is located at 12450 Ulmerton Road. Regular hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the adoption center closing at 5:30 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with adoption services available. Rabies vaccinations are administered on Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. The facility is closed on all Pinellas County holidays.
