2 Killed In Wesley Chapel Crash: Florida Highway Patrol

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Two people were killed in a Saturday afternoon crash in Wesley Chapel, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

A 30-year-old Tampa man on a motorcycle was speeding westbound on State Road 56 around 3 p.m. At the same time, a 32-year-old woman from Wesley Chapel was driving a car east on the same road.

She turned left into the motorcyclist’s path at the intersection of Piazza Avenue, and he crashed into her, FHP said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car’s driver and her four adult passengers suffered what was thought to be non-life-threatening injuries, FHP said.

A 36-year-old Georgia woman in her car later died from her injuries, the agency said.
