Lanes To Be Shifted As State Road 54 Widening Project Continues
The change impacts the State Road 54 corridor from east of Curley Road to Lake Crystal Boulevard.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL β Eastbound State Road 54 traffic will be shifted to a new roadway alignment on the south side of the highway corridor from east of Curley Road to Lake Crystal Boulevard between 10 p.m. Monday, April 3, and 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 4.
This will result in eastbound and westbound traffic being divided by a median through this section of SR 54.
Traffic will remain single lane in each direction until additional construction is completed to open additional lanes in late summer or early fall.

With the traffic shift, right turn lanes will open from eastbound SR 54 to Meadow Pointe Boulevard and Foxwood Boulevard, along with a right turn lane from Meadow Pointe Boulevard onto eastbound SR 54.
The combination of the traffic shift and new turn lanes should improve traffic flow in this area of SR 54 and on Meadow Pointe Boulevard, said Florida Department of Transportation officials.
