LUTZ, FL β A 26-year-old Lutz man is dead following a single-vehicle accident that ended in the backyard of a home on Sandy Shores Drive early Thursday morning.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriffβs Office, Maxwell Trent Holloway was heading west on Lutz Lake Fern Road around 2:28 a.m. Oct. 27. As Holloway drove his 2008 black Dodge Charger east of Heritage Harbor Parkway, deputies say he failed to negotiate a curve.
Hollowayβs vehicle ran off the road, moved in a northwest direction and struck a utility pole. The Charger kept moving northwest after hitting the pole. Deputies say the car drove through a ditch, struck several trees and then hit the outside of a home in the 4000 block of Sandy Shores Drive. The vehicle overturned and ended up on its roof in the homeβs backyard, an email from the sheriffβs office said.
