Motorcyclist, 25, Killed In Lutz Crash
A 25-year-old Land O' Lakes man died in a Saturday evening crash on U.S. 41.

LUTZ, FL — A 25-year-old Land O’ Lakes man died following a Saturday evening motorcycle crash on U.S. 41 in Lutz.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Jamie Aleckson Halley was riding a Suzuki north on U.S. 41 around 6 p.m. Feb. 18. As Halley was in the stretch of road south of 2nd Avenue Southeast, a second vehicle, a Ford van driven by Cevdut Bengul, 40, of Lutz was headed south. Bengul attempted to turn left onto 2nd Avenue and was struck by the motorcycle, the patrol said.
According to a highway patrol report, Halley “was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision.”

Halley was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, the report noted.
No charges were filed, the report noted. No further information is being released at this time.
