Traffic Pacing Planned On Northbound I-75 In Pasco County Wednesday
Northbound Interstate 75 traffic in southern to central Pasco County will be paced slowly (about 15 mph) by law enforcement officers.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Northbound Interstate 75 traffic in southern to central Pasco County will be paced slowly (about 15 mph) by law enforcement officers for up to 20 minutes at a time between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, weather permitting.
If needed, pacing could take place during the same hours on Friday, Sept. 9.
Northbound I-75 traffic control will begin north of State Road 56 (Exit 275) and end north of Overpass Road (about halfway between Exits 279 and 285). Traffic entering the interstate from interchange ramps within the pacing zone and the northbound I-75 rest area will not be able to enter until the front of the pacing operation has passed and law enforcement reopens the ramps.

The work is part of the $64.5 million project to build a new interchange at Overpass Road and I-75 about 3.5 miles south of State Road 52 in Pasco County.
The new diamond interchange will include a flyover ramp for westbound Overpass Road access onto southbound I-75. Overpass Road is being widened from two lanes to four lanes between the interstate and Old Pasco Road and six lanes between the interstate and Boyette Road. Blair Drive is being realigned to connect with Old Pasco Road. McKendree Road is being realigned to connect with Boyette Road.
The project is expected to be completed in early 2023.
