Unleash Your Creativity At Annual Scarecrow Festival At Pioneer Museum
The annual Scarecrow Festival Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the nonprofit Florida Pioneer Museum and Village.
DADE CITY, FL — Prepare for some not-so-scary Halloween fun at the annual Scarecrow Festival Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the nonprofit Florida Pioneer Museum and Village, 15602 Pioneer Museum Road, Dade City.
Visitors can unleash their creativity by building their own scarecrows and painting pumpkins selected from the pumpkin patch.
Additionally, attendees can watch Sphere's Bubble Show as seen on "America's Got Talent" in front of the Blanton Citrus Packing Building at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Visitors will also be enthralled by the Dancing Scarecrows by Cosmic Riot, featured on MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew, "So You Think You Can Dance" and "America's Got Talent," performing at 10 a.m. and noon in front of the yellow, two-story Overstreet House.
The historic general store will be stocked with pumpkins, gourds and other fall decorations.

There will be games with prizes and arts and crafts activities for kids in the Mabel Jordan Barn.
Those attending will also be entertained by the Geared-Up Band, the barking dogs show and old-time music from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Visit various vendors selling seasonal wares, eat your way through a variety of food trucks, visit the Zephyrhills High School Future Farmers of America petting zoo, marvel at the model trains racing around their tracks and see a blacksmith in action.
Docents and traditional craftsmen in period attire will be on hand to demonstrate, educate, entertain and interact with visitors.
There will be costume contests with prizes for all age groups at 10:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the gazebo.
Additionally, the Echebucsassa Chapter NSDAR will be next to the Overstreet House to take orders for Wreaths Across America, a program dedicated to honoring fallen veterans by placing wreaths on their graves. The chapter members also will collect tattered and torn American flags to ensure their proper disposal and give out information about America 250, an initiative aimed at commemorating the 250th birthday of the United States.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and free for children under age 5, and are available only at the gate. There is a nominal extra charge for some activities. Food and activities are cash only.
