Dog Shot In Miami Beach
A dog was shot Sunday afternoon in Miami Beach, but police did not immediately say what led to the shooting.

MIAMI BEACH, FL β A dog was shot Sunday afternoon in Miami Beach, but it was not immediately clear what led to the shooting, according to Miami Beach police. A man suffered a dog bite during the incident. The dog is possibly a pit bull.
The victim told Local 10 News that the dog attacked him and wouldn't let go. He said he dragged the animal into another room where he had a handgun and fired at the dog.
The incident took place around 3:15 p.m. in the 600 block of 82 Street, according to Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department.

"The dog has been transported to Knowles Animal Clinic by Miami Beach Fire Rescue," Rodriguez told Patch. "Its condition is unknown."

Rodriguez said that police interviewwed the man who suffered the dog bite.
"It is believed the subject and dog owner may know each other," Rodriguez added.
