Miami Beach Police Search For 2 Armed Robbers

Police are asking for the public's help in finding two men who are believed to be responsible for three armed robberies in South Beach.

MIAMI BEACH, FL β€” Police are asking for the public's help in finding two men who are believed to be responsible for three armed robberies in South Beach early Sunday morning. One occurred on Ocean Drive while the others took place on Washington Avenue and Euclid Avenue All of the robberies occurred between 2:50 a.m. and 4 a..m., according to Miami Beach police.

The first robbery occurred shortly before 3 a.m. at 3 Street and Ocean Drive.

"The subjects displayed a firearm and demanded the victims money, subjects fled with $60," according to Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department.

The second robbery took place around 3:30 a.m. at 7 Street and Euclid Avenue, according to Rodriguez. "In this case, the subject approached the victim, demanded her phone while pointing a firearm at the victim's stomach. The second subject reached into the victim’s purse and snatched $200."

The third robbery occurred around 4 a.m. near 16 Street and Washington Avenue. "The subject demanded the victim's purse. When she refused, a struggle ensued," Rodriguez explained. "The subject struck the victim with the firearm and began dragging her on the sidewalk until he was able to take the purse."

The two are described as light-skinned black males between 18 and 25 years of age. One is approximately 6 feet to 6 feet two inches while the other is 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall.

Police released surveillance video on Thursday and asked the public to help identify the men. See the video below:
