Beaujolais Nouveau: Taste 2012 Harvest at Toast Wine & Cigar Bar

Want to be part of a worldwide wine tradition?

Toast of New Tampa Fine Wine & Cigar bar is inviting patrons to “light up the gray November and … celebrate the 2012 Beaujolais Nouveau.”

Beaujolais Nouveau is an annual and popular event in the wine world. French law prevents Beaujolais wine from being sold until the third Thursday in November. So on that date each year, venues the world over pop the cork to welcome in the new harvest.

Toast will join in on the celebration, according to its weekly e-newsletter. A free tasting will be held at the New Tampa business from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Nov. 15). Toast is at 14921 Bruce B. Downs Blvd.

"FUN FACT: In just one week, over 65 million bottles, nearly half of the region's total annual production, will be distributed and drunk around the world," Toast added in the e-newsletter.
