Burger King Manager Opens Door for Maintenance Crew, Finds Armed Robber

The robbery happened early Wednesday morning after the restaurant closed.

The manager of the Burger King at 20590 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. had just closed the restaurant when he heard the rear door buzzer shortly after midnight Wednesday.

He thought the maintenance crew had arrived, so he went to the back and opened the door.

But instead of the maintenance crew, he found a man with a semi-automatic pistol, according to the Tampa Police Department.
