On May 31, Earle met Adams and another man, Eddy Lee, at 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot of McDonalds, 19080 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., to “sell an unknown item,” according to police.

Earle got into Adams’s car and an altercation occurred, police said. Earle jumped from the car as Adams backed out.

Earle got into his car and chased Adams south approximately 2.5 miles on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard near Interstate 75. There, Earle shot into Adams’s car. Lee was shot in the arm, and Adams was shot in the chest, police said.

Adams’s friends drove him to Pasco Regional Hospital in Dade City and dropped him off at 5:11 p.m., according to a previous police report. He died soon after from his injuries.

Earle is being held by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, according to arrest records. A judge denied bond on the second degree murder with a firearm charge and the attempted second degree murder with a firearm charge.
