Tampa Man Charged With DUI Manslaughter In Death Of Pedestrian
A 48-year-old man was charged with DUI manslaughter Thursday after being accused of striking and killing a pedestrian in Hunters Green.

NEW TAMPA, FL — A 48-year-old Tampa man was charged with DUI manslaughter Thursday after being accused of striking and killing a pedestrian in Hunters Green.
According to police, James White was driving an SUV in the 9400 block of Highland Oaks Drive around 2:56 a.m. Thursday when he crossed in a bike lane and struck at pedestrian. The pedestrian was thrown to the side of the road and died at the scene. Police didn't release any information on the pedestrian.
Tampa police said James White showed signed of impairment and failed a field sobriety test.

He was arrested and was booked into the Hillsborough County jail.
