Tampa Man Killed In Crash At Jackson Road, U.S. 301

THONOTOSASSA, FL — A 24-year-old Tampa man has died following a crash on Jackson Road Monday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 12:06 a.m., the Tampa man was driving a 2010 Honda Fit north on Jackson Road approaching U.S. 301 while a 31-year-old Thonotosassa man was driving a 2020 Ford F250 pickup truck on U.S. 301, approaching the intersection of Jackson Road.

Troopers said the Tampa man failed to stop at a posted stop sign and entered the path of the pickup truck, which struck the left side of the Honda.

The Tampa man died at the scene. The pickup truck driver had no injuries.
