World Of Beer in Tampa Palms Now Closed

World of Beer in The Pointe at Tampa Palms shopping center has officially closed its doors.

Earlier this month, New Tampa Patch reported the World of Beer location would be closing on April 28. A post on their Facebook page marks the announcement of the closure. A call to their phone went unanswered.

Fans of the local hangout lamented the closing on Facebook.

Della Ruth Marsan said, "Dislike. I am so bummed."

Last night, April 28, was the final night of brews flowing from the taps. "Thanks for a great party last night though," wrote Beth Behner Neri.

While World of Beer is closing in Tampa Palms, it’s expanding in other areas. There’s a location set to open in Brandon in May and other locations in Key West, Gainseville, Miami and Jacksonville, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas and Colorado scheduled to open in 2013.

World of Beer isn’t the first business in The Pointe at Tampa Palms shopping center to close its doors. Tennis & Fitness Lifestyle, 1320 Engineering, a Jazzercise studio, Panda Buffet and Cole’s BBQ have all shut down in the past two years.
