Clermont Neighbor's Big Game Snack Recipe: Chicken Dip
This mixture of chicken breast, cream cheese, onion, celery, garlic salt and black pepper will leave you salivating.
CLERMONT, FL — If you plan it right, the snacks at your football watch party on Feb. 11 will be as much discussed as the key plays. When we asked Clermont readers to submit their MVP-worthy recipes, Ginny Wilson submitted this recipe:
Chicken Dip
- 1 can (28 oz) chunky chicken breast
- 1 8-ounce pkg of softened regular cream cheese.
- 1 medium-sized onion chopped up in small pieces
- 6-8 stalks of celery chopped up in small pieces.
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper and salt to your taste
- Mix everything together and put in a pie dish or a pasta bowl. Cover the mixture with chopped pecans
- Best if it sits in the refrigerator overnight.
- Serve with your favorite crackers. ( I prefer Triscuits or Wheat Thins.)
- Enjoy!
You can still submit recipes for appetizers, dishes or snacks to inspire others who are fourth and long and short on ideas. Be sure to tell us why your guests will do a touchdown dance over your party spread.
