Dr. Rick Ramnath & NSI Scanners Named Lip Sync For Lungs Champions

Last night, the American Lung Association in Orlando hosted the 5th annual Lip Sync For Lungs, presented by AdventHealth, and Dr. Rick Ramnath and the NSI Scanners took home the Battle Champion trophy after their stunning performance of a Michael Jackson medley raising more than $7,000 through community support and donations. Overall, the event raised more than $57,000.

The event featured local celebrities who performed choreographed lip sync and routines in an epic show-down to win the title of Lip Sync Battle Champion. Ramnath, this year’s Battle Champion is a diagnostic radiologist and co-owner of Neuroskelatal Imaging. “As an alumni performer for the event, Ramnath and his team never disappoint and once again they took to the stage and with their tremendous energy and enthusiasm electrified the audience,” shared Janelle Hom, executive director of the American Lung Association.

Another winning team from the night was Stephanie Alcalde & The Young Lawyers who received the Audience Favorite and Judge’s Choice Awards for their medley performance including “Man, I Feel Like a Woman” by Shania Twain, “Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing and “Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston.

“The event last night was such a welcomed breath of fresh air for everyone that attended. As a result, we saw a tremendous outpouring of support and participation from the local community,” said Hom. “Thank you to all of our participants and sponsors who came together to make a difference in the lives of people facing lung disease, lung cancer and COVID-19.”
