Fire Breaks Out At EPCOT Saturday: Officials
Videos and images on social media showed a large plume of smoke over Walt Disney World in Florida.
ORLANDO, FL — Billowing smoke was seen over EPCOT at Walt Disney World in Orlando Saturday after a fire broke out.
Disney officials told Patch that the fire started sometime late Saturday afternoon in a walk-in cooler behind the France Pavilion in a backstage area. The fire was quickly extinguished; no injuries were reported, officials said.
As of 8 p.m., the smoke was no longer visible, officials said.
