While taking Jones into custody, one officer reportedly grabbed him and referred to him as the character, saying, "Chuck E, come with me, Chuck E.,” the Tallahassee Democrat said.
Jones was charged with three felonies, including theft of a credit card, criminal use of personal identification information and fraudulent use of a credit card on more than two occasions within six months.

He denied stealing the card, which was found in his pocket at the time of his arrest, reports said. He claimed he found it, and was about to turn it into lost and found.
The woman whose debit card was stolen investigated the theft on her own before bringing the case to police, reports said. She got security video footage from the meat market where it was used and recognized the suspect as a Chuck E. Cheese employee.
The victim told investigators that she had a party at the Chuck E. Cheese location in June and after that, noticed about $100 in fraudulent charges on the missing card from places she’d never been, according to reports.
