FL Deputy Rescues Missing 81-Year-Old Man Found Alive In Pond: VIDEO
"I'm glad we found you, man. Thank goodness," Deputy Steven Jones tells Daniel Waterhouse, 81, after pulling him from a retention pond.

ORANGE COUNTY, FL — A Florida deputy was in the right place at the right time when he located an elderly man reported missing just one day earlier.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Steven Jones found 81-year-old Daniel Waterhouse alive in a retention pond Friday.
After Waterhouse left his home Thursday, deputies said his family became concerned because he left his medication behind. Without it, they feared he'd become lost and disoriented.

"Ok. I found him. I found him. He is in the water, and he's moving," Jones said in the video. "Hey, buddy! Come on, buddy. Come on. We got to get you out of the water."
In the video, Jones walked over to the pond, stepped into the water and pulled Waterhouse to dry land.
"We've been looking for you, buddy," another officer told Waterhouse after Jones got him out of the water.
"I'm glad we found you, man. Thank goodness," Jones added.

After pulling Waterhouse from the pond, Deputy Jones and several more OCSO deputies waited with him until Orange County Fire Rescue arrived and took him to a nearby hospital.
The sheriff's office said Waterhouse is currently recovering. They didn't immediately reveal how and precisely where Jones found Waterhouse.
According to the sheriff's office, Jones joined the Orange County Sheriff's Office in 2017. He is a school resource officer at Magnolia School, a school for special needs students near Pine Hills.
