FL Teacher Who Had Sex With Student In Classroom Charged: Reports
The Florida teacher was accused of teaching a middle-school student "how to have sexual intercourse with her," media reports say.
ORLANDO, FL — A 32-year-old married Orange County teacher is facing battery and molestation charges after being accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old student, per media reports.
Authorities accused Sarah Jacas, who teaches math at Corner Lake Middle School, of having sexual intercourse with the then-virgin student in a locked classroom between December 2022 and April 2023, WOFL reported Wednesday. Investigators suspect this included oral intercourse.
Jacas was arrested Monday and is facing multiple charges in connection with the case, WESH reported.

After Jacas was accused of teaching the student "how to have sexual intercourse with her," the suspected behavior continued for at least three more days, WOFL reported.
The suspected intercourse took place during lunch, and during at least one instance, WESH reported Jacas was accused of covering the classroom windows with curtains.

"The boy told detectives he would eat lunch in her classroom because he had issues fitting in. In court, the judge revealed that Jacas is married and is the mother of a 12-year-old," WESH reported.
Both Jacas' husband and the student's mother discovered the suspected improper relationship, and a police report stated when the mother told Jacas she could not text the student anymore, Jacas was accused of creating an Instagram account to talk to the student, WOFL reported.
Authorities say the following communication codes were used, per WOFL:
- 115 – I miss you.
- 520 – I love you.
- High Five – kiss
A statement from Corner Lake Middle School Principal Paul Browning read in part, per WOFL:
"... I can assure you I take all allegations very seriously and there is an ongoing investigation by law enforcement and the district’s Office of Professional Standards. Although I cannot discuss employee matters, please know this person will not be returning to campus pending the outcome of the investigation. ..."
Jacas was arrested on charges of two counts of lewd or lascivious battery (custodial authority), two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation (custodial authority) and sex offense/authority figure solicit/engage sexual, per media reports. She was detained on a $19,000 bond in the Orange County Jail, reports say.
