- Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and members of the Orange County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Initiative will host this year’s “Juneteenth & Greek Day Community Celebration” today, June 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and members of the public are invited to attend the gathering at the Orange County Administration Building's front lawn. The event will include live entertainment, free give-a-ways, a job fair, and food trucks. The celebration will be moved to June 16 if weather does not permit it to occur. - Supporters of former President Trump took a bus to Miami from Central Florida on Tuesday as Trump surrendered to authorities in Miami over classified documents and faces dozens of felony charges. Trump plead "not guilty" at the court appearance. The supporters wore shirts supporting Trump and attacking the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). Trump is currently leading the Republican field in the primary race for 2024 in polls. (Subscription: Orlando Sentinel, Free: Miami Patch)
- A man robbed a bank in Altamonte Springs on Tuesday and police are seeking information on the suspect. The incident happened at a Regions Bank, located at 360 W State Road 436 around 4 p.m. The news released said the suspect is a thin Black male, wearing all black, with a black mask and sunglasses. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities. (WFTV)
- The Circle is a new global-themed restaurant opening in Mills 50 this week from June 15-18 with a soft opening featuring live music. Menu items include food inspired by Vietnam as well as the Philippines. The new restaurant is located at 1216 E. Colonial Drive. (Bungalower)
- Spirit Airlines celebrated 30 years at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) on Tuesday. The airline made a donation to support the environment as part of the celebration. The airline added 19 newly installed self-bag drop units at MCO to help customers have an even better experience. (WFTV)
