- One man is dead, while two others were critically injured in a shootout in Central Florida's Poinciana on Thursday, according to authorities. An investigation is now underway by Polk County Sheriff's Office into the incident. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described the shooting as "absolute mayhem" to the media in a news conference. - Pine Hills native Maurice Allen is the first Black World Long Drive champion. He holds the Guinness World Record for highest golf ball speed at 211 mph. Allen is also involved in the Orlando Minority Youth Golf Association. (Click Orlando)
- Popular Filipino and Hawaiian food truck Over Rice is now in soft opening for a new restaurant at 1804 Lee Road. The menu includes dishes such as Kalua Pork, Lumpia Shanghai, and Pancit. No grand opening date is available as of Friday evening. (Bungalower)

- Experts are concerned that Orlando could fall victim to a Baltimore-style neo-Nazi attack due to unprotected substations in the area. Vulnerable substations can found around homes and businesses in both Orlando and The Villages. Security professionals at Florida Municipal Power Agency acknowledge there is only so much that can be done to protect from an attack on the power grid. (WFTV)
