- City of Sanford's utilities director is resigning from his position on Feb. 9. The city's wastewater vacuum system is a major issue and could cost over $1 million to address. A meeting was held to address the issues on Jan. 30. (Spectrum News 13)
- Summer camp sign-ups are already underway at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The camps will take place for students of various ages and levels through June and July of this year. Families interested will save $30 if they register for the summer camps by Thursday, April 20. (Click Orlando)
- University of Central Florida is set to debut in the Big 12 conference this year. The Knights will start the season in Kansas on Sept. 23 against Kansas State. UCF will not meet Texas in 2023. (WESH)
- The Puerto Rico Men's National Ice Hockey Team is scheduled to skate in Orlando from Feb. 17-19 as part of a new exhibition series. The exhibition will be at Ice Factory of Central Florida in Kissimmee and the Amway Center in Parramore. The visit is being held in partnership with the Orlando Solar Bears and Florida Puerto Rican Parade. (Bungalower)
- Bed Bath & Beyond is closing numerous stores throughout Florida, including multiple stores in Central Florida in Orlando and Apopka. Layoffs are also planned across the company. (Florida Patch)
