- Rep. Maxwell Frost, who represents the Central Florida area in Congress, spoke out about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at a Paramore concert in Washington, D.C., on Friday night yelling expletives and decrying "fascism." Paramore had Frost join them on stage during the concert. Maxwell responded to the media by saying "I said what I said." (Orlando Patch, NBC News)
- The St. Johns River Water Management District has closed the Lake Apopka North Shore Loop Trail from Magnolia Park to Conrad Road until further notice due to construction in the area. Visitors should use the Lust Road instead. Construction is not expected to impact the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. (The Apopka Voice)
- A wild bear that was spotted in Orlando at Lake Eola Park on Sunday appears to have left the area, according to wildlife officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. There area was busy with visitors when the alert was made. Officials laid a trap for the bear, but the trap did not catch the bear. (WESH)
- A bustling wildflower garden along Florida’s Turnpike in Osceola County is attracting attention l on social media and plenty of parked cars as locals seek to experience the great outdoors. Authorities warned residents, "You cannot just pull off the side of the road to take your selfies." Troopers are planning to force residents to move along from the flowers. (WFTV)
- Rollins College in Winter Park has launched a new e-sports summer camp program. Games featured in the league include first-person shooter Valorant and sports-like concepts, such as Rocket League. Each session costs about $400 and lasts three weeks. The first camp kicks off June 12. (Fox 35)
