Here are the top stories today in Orlando:
- The Super Mario Bros. plumbing van arrived in Orlando at Universal Cinemark in CityWalk this week, fully decorated for the "Super Mario Bros. Movie," which launched on April 5. The van is only here for a limited-time and lets guests take photos in celebration of the new film. Super Nintendo World is expected to open in Orlando at Universal's new theme park in the next few years. (WDW News Today)
- Four people have been arrested in Central Florida after deputies said they trafficked a teen who police said worked at an Orlando strip club since they were 15 years old. The strip club in question is The Flash Dancer Orlando. They have been charged with human trafficking for commercial sexual activity of a child. (Click Orlando)
- SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay are offering a new 2-Park 2-Day ticket for $99.99 that is only available to Florida residents and locals. Residents can select any two parks in Orlando or Tampa to attend from now until April 16. Also on the list is Aquatica Orlando and Adventure Island Water Park. (WFLA)
- Florida lawyer David Haas of Orlando said the recent charge of 34 counts of falsifying business records presented against former President Donald Trump would normally classify as misdemeanor offenses. Haas said that because the prosecutor said the charges relate to other criminal charges, the misdemeanors offenses are elevated to felonies. The next hearing in the case is Dec. 4. (WESH)
- Central Florida's Daytona Beach International Airport will soon begin hosting routes from Avelo Airlines. Flights will be available on Thursdays and Sundays for travelers. Representatives from the airline said Daytona Beach was a long-requested destination. The first route will begin June 22 with New Haven, Connecticut as the first connection. (Fox 35 Orlando)
