Homestead Neighbors Open Fire During Quarrel, 2 Dead
Three neighbors got into a quarrel over the weekend that ended in gunfire.

HOMESTEAD, FL — Three neighbors got into a quarrel over the weekend that ended in gunfire. Two of the three were killed while the third is in serious condition, according to Miami-Dade police. It was unclear what caused the argument.
Killed were 78-year-old Guillermo Martinez and 35-year-old Arian Loo of Homestead. Fifty-year-0ld Miguel Angel Jorge was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital South Trauma Center in serious condition.
The incident took place at 5:40 p.m. Saturday in the 22600 block of SW 274 Street, according to Detective Alvaro Zabaleta of the Miami-Dade Police Department.

"Three neighbors were involved in a verbal dispute," Zabaleta explained. "During the dispute, two of the individuals produced firearms and shots were fired, striking all parties."
Martinez and Loo were pronounced dead at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Zabaleta explained. The incident took place between Martinez' home and the home of one of the other neighbors.

"The motive for the dispute is still unknown," Zabaleta added.
