Castaways Recycled Style Moves To Quaint Ozona

Missy Donald moved her recycled and repurposed home decor shop from Gulfport to Palm Harbor three weeks ago.

Missy Donald is excited to move her recycled and repurposed home decor business into quaint downtown Ozona.

"It's really quaint," she said. "It's what I imagine old Florida to be and the restaurants are great."

Donald moved Castaways Recycled Style to 304 Orange St. from its original location in Gulfport three weeks ago. She specializes in custom, handcrafted nautical and beach-themed directional signs, furniture and home decor and uses only recycled and repurposed materials.

She was previously in Gulfport for nine months, but she's been in the business for about 15 years, carrying the concept behind Recycled Style to Florida from her home in Maine a year ago, Donald said.

She likes to keep things priced to sell so inventory is always fresh, she said. And her navigational signs are custom built, so shoppers can get creative with the "destinations," Donald said.

For now her shop is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, although her hours are not yet permanently set.
