Dunedin Mardi Gras Festival and Parade Postponed
The event will now take place on Friday.

Fat Tuesday frolickers hoping to take in Dunedin’s annual parade and festival will have to wait until Friday courtesy of anticipated bad weather.
“This decision was made for the safety and experience of our guests in mind,” event organizers wrote on their Facebook page.
In keeping with the fun nature of the festivities, the rescheduled event is now being called the “Tardy Mardi Party.” It’s set to take place from 4 to 11 p.m. Friday.

While rain is getting in the way of Tuesday’s festival, local bars and restaurants will remain open and plan to celebrate, event organizers noted.
Friday’s rescheduled parade begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Florida Auto Exchange Stadium on Douglas Avenue. It then heads north toward Main Street before turning onto Skinner Boulevard. More than 50 floats are anticipated to appear this year.
