Flamingo Float Making Waves in Tampa Bay for Children’s Dream Fund
The Flamingo Float Brings Fun, Fundraising, and a Ford Bronco! Adopt a Flamingo for as little as $5 for a chance to win a new Ford Bronco!

The Children’s Dream Fund invites the Tampa Bay community to the exciting first annual “Flamingo Float”, where 40,000 adopted rubber flamingos will race down the Hillsborough River to raise funds for children with life-threatening illnesses. The event takes place on Saturday, December 7, at 10:00 AM at Armature Works in Tampa, with each flamingo adoption as low as $5.

Participants will have the chance to win a 2024 Ford Bronco if their adopted flamingo is the first to cross the finish line. All proceeds go directly to the Children’s Dream Fund, supporting dreams for local children facing serious health challenges.

The Children's Dream Fund, based in St. Petersburg, was established in 1981 with the mission of making dreams come true for children aged 3-21 facing life-threatening illnesses. The organization fulfills unique dreams tailored to each child's personality and wishes—from meeting celebrities to visiting theme parks. Over the years, it has granted more than 4,000 dreams, bringing hope and joy to families during challenging times.
