An Orlando man accused of committing sexual battery on a 5-year-old girl in Palm Harbor was arrested Saturday morning, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Pinellas County detectives say the man "inappropriately touched" the girl, who was known to him, on May 29 in a Palm Harbor home, according to a media release. She was in his care at the time, according to the release. The girl told a family member on June 16, according to the media release. The family member told the girl's mother, who contacted the sheriff's office June 17. Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office's Crimes Against Children Unit began their investigation Friday, according to the release. Detectives learned the man was returning on Saturday to Palm Harbor. He was arrested on a traffic stop in Palm Harbor around 11:15 a.m. Arrested was Walter Hutton, 27. He was booked into Pinellas County Jail and charged with sexual battery on a child under 12.
