Palm Harbor Couple & Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Crash
A Clearwater man was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with life-threatening injuries Monday after his motorcycle collided with a car driven by a Palm Harbor man.
A Palm Harbor couple and a Clearwater motorcyclist were rushed to local hospitals after a crash Monday morning on State Road 580 in Dunedin.
Chad M. Kunnen, 26, was ejected from his motorcycle and was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Sheriff's deputies say Kunnen was not wearing a helmet.
Investigators report that Kunnen was traveling north on Virginia Avenue on his 2003 Yamaha YZF-R6. He attempted to turn right from Virginia Avenue, to head east on SR 580, when he struck a 1996 Lincoln Town Car near McDonald's around 11:20 a.m.

Palm Harbor resident Alvin C. Brady, 84, the driver of the Town Car, had been traveling west on SR 580. He was attempting to turn left to head south on Virginia Avenue at the time of the crash. Deputies report that the Brady’s Town Car turned in front of Kunnen.
Brady and his wife, Arleen Brady, 83, also of Palm Harbor, were taken to Mease Countryside Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, deputies report.

Traffic closed to all but one lane on SR 580 and all of Virginia Avenue at the intersection for about three hours.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate.
