Palm Harbor Sewer Main Break Prompts Plea for Reduced Water Use

Breaking: A sewer main break in North Pinellas County has officials asking residents to limit their water use.

PALM HARBOR, FL — Residents in North Pinellas County are being asked to limit their water use Tuesday morning following a sewer main break.

According to Pinellas County, a 30-inch sewer force main broke at Alderman Road and Omaha Street in Palm Harbor. While the cause of the break is not known at this time, the incident is impacting several pump stations in the area.

“Residents are advised to limit use of toilets, showers and other optional water use,” the county wrote in an email to media. Pinellas County Utilities is using pumper trucks to help reduce flow in the area.
