Palm Harbor Joins Nationwide Effort to Stamp Out Hunger on May 10 Community Invited to Participate in Food Drive To Benefit Local Families

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, residents of Palm Harbor are encouraged to participate in the 33rd annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the nation's largest one-day food collection effort. This annual event, organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers, aims to combat food insecurity by collecting non-perishable food donations directly from residents' mailboxes.
How to Participate:All collected items will be delivered to FEAST Food Pantry in Palm Harbor, where they will be distributed to families in need throughout North Pinellas County. FEAST has been serving the community since 1989, providing essential food and personal care items to families facing food insecurity. The pantry relies heavily on community support to meet the growing demand.
- Fill a bag with non-perishable food items such as canned vegetables, soup, pasta, peanut butter, and cereal.
- Place the bag next to your mailbox on Saturday, May 10.
- Your mail carrier will collect the donations during their regular delivery route that day.
Tamara Black, Executive Director of FEAST Food Pantry, expressed her gratitude for the community's support: "Every donation, no matter how small, makes a significant impact on the lives of our neighbors in need. We are deeply thankful for the generosity of our community and the dedication of our postal carriers who make this event possible."
Residents unable to participate on May 10 can still contribute by dropping off donations at FEAST Food Pantry's secure bins located at various community sites, including Palm Harbor Library, East Lake Library, YMCA, and Palm Harbor Parks & Recreation.
