2 Dogs, Hedgehog Rescued From Miami-Dade Apartment Fire
First responders rescued two dogs and a pet hedgehog from an apartment that caught fire in Southwest Miami-Dade on Thursday night.

MIAMI, FL β First responders rescued two dogs and a pet hedgehog from an apartment that caught fire in Southwest Miami-Dade on Thursday night. The fire broke out at 10:13 p.m, according to Lt. Felipe Lay of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. The apartment is located near SW 1st Street and SW 109 Avenue.
"Crews were able to gain access to the apartment and ultimately extinguish the fire within 30 minutes of arrival," Lay said.
He added that no one was injured in the blaze.

"The cause of the fire is still being investigated," Lay said.
