As part of MDC’s Associate in Science (A.S.) in Entrepreneurship, budding entrepreneurs can earn stackable credentials in the form of college credit certificates (CCC) that are embedded into the program, focusing on various different areas of study. Certificates courses may be taken independently or earned as part of the A.S.

“Our CCCs in entrepreneurship give our students an edge by putting them in the position to practice empathy, execution and excellence immediately in their ventures,” said Yanatha Desouvre an entrepreneurship professor at MDC’s Wolfson Campus. “These are relevant and practical pillars of success.”

The certificates are also ideal for tried-and-true entrepreneurs looking to upskill or diversify their business.

“A lot of ideas can be good and profitable, but they have to be framed the right way, and the course went over all the details to streamline success,” said Menachem Fellig, who earned the Start-Up Venture certificate.

Fellig, who works for a nonprofit, will apply his new knowledge of crowdfunding principles to finance a venture into the food industry.

With stackable credentials, students who complete the A.S. can apply it toward a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management, which prepares graduates for careers in fields such as digital marketing, business development and small-business management.
