TREASURE ISLAND, FL — The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said it arrested a man accused of taking part in a fatal hit-and-run crash Dec. 6 in Treasure Island.

According to the sheriff's office, around 7:45 p.m., 46-year-old Felicia White was walking in a marked crosswalk on Gulf Boulevard, crossing 108th Avenue North, when she was struck by a dark blue pickup truck traveling south on Gulf Boulevard.

Investigators said the truck entered the left turn lane to head east on 108th Avenue North and struck White and then fled the scene.

White was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies located the dark blue 2020 Chevrolet Silverado work truck described by witnesses last week and, on Saturday, arrested the driver, 62-year-old John Dennelly, of the 13000 block of Gulf Boulevard in Madeira Beach, according to a sheriff's report.

Dennelly was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a death and taken to the Pinellas County Jail.
