Be Prepared For Traffic Delays; Paving Begins On Starkey Road

SEMINOLE, FL -- Motorists traveling on Starkey Road/Park Street on either side of the Park Boulevard intersection in Seminole may experience daytime delays beginning Monday morning.

Paving crews will be closing one lane in either direction between 82nd Avenue North and 84th Lane North, leaving the remaining lane open in that direction. Both lanes will stay open in the opposite direction.

Starkey Road changes names to Park Street when it crosses Park Boulevard. Crews had attempted to complete the 0.8-mile project at night, but weather delays pushed construction behind schedule.

The work will occur between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and is expected to take about two weeks. No nighttime lane closures are expected.
