Beach Palooza Draws Hundreds to Complete "Radical Obstacles"

Beach Palooza is a running event that takes place all around the country, in six different locations. Other hosts included California, New York, Illinois, Colorado and Texas. St. Pete beach was chosen as the sixth destination.

Runners compete in a 5k race. The journey is complete with obstacles like burning coals to hurl over and beach barricades to boot. By the finish line, most entries looked beat to say the least.

Contestants were able to enjoy food and drinks after the race, while listening to live music. The totally tubular sunset was a bonus Paloozers.
