Beaches Weekender: Beach Beast, Comic Con, Backstreet Boys

Looking for something fun to do this weekend on the Pinellas beaches or around Tampa Bay? Look no further!

Beach Beast 5K: There's still time to sign up for the 5K on Saturday, August 24 in St. Pete Beach. The Postcard Inn is hosting the "Beach Beast 5K" which is a 5K obstacle course. For more information call The Postcard Inn at (727) 367-2711.

Pinellas County K-9 Demo Saturday: The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and Suncoast Fire Rescue are pairing up for a first ever Public Safety Day from 4 - 6 p.m. at Kolb Park - located on Bay Palm Boulevard between 15th and 16th Avenues in Indian Rocks Beach. Get Your Geek OnComic book and superhero fans might want to check this one out. Tampa Bay Comic Con takes the spotlight at the Tampa Convention Center Friday, Aug. 23 through Sunday, Aug. 25. The event boasts 75,000 square feet of “comics, cosplay, videos, toys, action figures, video games” and more. Find out more about it on the event’s website.
