California Pizza Kitchen and Tip-A-Cop Serve Pizza With A Purpose

Partnership To Raise Money for the Miami-Dade Special Olympics

California Pizza Kitchen (CPK), the authority in creative dining with a California vibe, is hosting a FUNdraiser at its Coral Gables, Fla. location to benefit the Special Olympics. On Oct. 16, CPK will donate twenty percent of net sales (from dine-in, takeout, beverages and catering) to Tip-A-Cop – a fundraising initiative of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, where officers serve as waiters and donate all the tips they receive to Special Olympics. This FUNdraiser will help to benefit more than 4,000 Special Olympics athletes in Miami-Dade County.

Law Enforcement will give a whole new meaning to “protect and serve.” Tip-A-Cop has been a favorite way for officers to raise money, and the public loves to have the officers wait on them hand and foot. Officers go above and beyond the call of duty with their participation in the Law Enforcement Torch Run®, which is Special Olympics’ largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. The officers serve as Guardians for the Special Olympics Flame of Hope.

To support, CPK guests must mention to their server that they are there in for the event.
